  • What happens in the group?

Participants use their alloted time; for supervision questions or for personal questions.

Annie's shares insights and inquiry from her over 35 years of experience working with clients of all ages, families, and educating groups.

  • What methods are used?

Somatic education, those embodied resources that help clients integrate life experiences from the past and learn how to thrive.

Annie shares her wealth of integrative knowledge and application in an easy and practical manner.

  • How do I pay?

Via venmo or paypal. Select your group time, and there is a link to a checkout page. Your commitment is for the entire time, whether you can attend or not.

This is due to your spot in the group being a reserved seat for you, and a closed group during the 5 meetings.

  • Will I learn in this group?

You will be learning from the inside out. Some of your theory questions may end up in a personal challenge to learn your own embodiment at a deeper level. Annie will support you with resources to help your embodiment.

Annie's experience in mentoring others is that you cannot guide someone in skill sets you do not understand from the inside out.

  • Do I need to have a background in somatic work already?

No, and it is helpful if you have taken Annie's online courses or read her books. You will be more familiar with the tools she uses.

Annie has a broad psychotherapuetic background, and can offer supervision in attachment work, group process needs, individuals, couples, adopted children, or families.

  • What if I need to miss a meeting?

Due to the nature of the group being a closed group, you are committed to paying for the group whether you attend or not.

If you need to withdraw from the entire group, Annie will try to fill your spot. Only upon your spot being filled can you get a refund.

  • What happens in the group?

Welcome to the art and practice of Supervision.

"The process of Supervision happens when a practitioner of a particular discipline or art, meets with a elder of the practice, in order to reflect on the work and have a perspective and a feedback from someone more experienced. Typically the “client” brings to the supervision session a case from their practice, in which they encounter a particular challenge. It can be a difficult group process, a challenging student or group, a recurrent pedagogic hot-spot in which the teacher finds their practice not effective or frustrating, or a theoretical question around some aspects of the work. The supervisor’s task will be to highlight the various dimensions of the challenge (pedagogical, technical, emotional, theoretical, …) and support the practitioner to clarify their experience, and create new ways to face that challenge. Supervision can also involve giving feedback to the design of a pedagogic project. Supervision can happen in individual sessions or in groups.

This group session will include different ingredients:

    • Case studies

    • Theoretical and practical review of classes or exercises

    • Consulting on the Pedagogic design of classes and projects

    • Lectures on pedagogic theory

    • Sharing of pedagogic experiences from the participants

    • Discussion on the questions from the participants

    • Exploration of the emotional life of the pedagogic process: working on the teacher’s hotspots"...Giovani Fusetti

A WORKSHOP is essentially a practical exploration of an art. The focus is on the active experiential practice, with very little theory, always related to the unfolding of the exercises.

In Supervision the practice is integrated with a strong focus on the THEORY that stands behind it. This creates a space of reflection and intellectual elaboration: a field of discussion, analysis, examples, questions and synthesis. It gives food for the mind, references, history of ideas, articulation of principles. And a space to unfold the emotional dimension of the process.
